How to read a platform update

A platform update is a change with a date, an audience, and a limit. Read those before you rebuild your setup or your advice.

The questions to ask every time

What changed, who gets it, and when. Is it a test, a region, or everyone. Does it change a number you put in a panel, a contract, or a lesson. What should you do this week, and what should you ignore until it hits your dashboard.

Shorts versus TikTok is a good example of a comparison that goes stale. Features land on one side, then the other copies the useful part. Check both product blogs and your own analytics before you declare a winner for your channel.

  • Announced date and who it applies to.
  • What you should change in OBS, titles, or offers.
  • What you should not promise your community yet.
  • The official page, and the day you checked it.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some Academy lessons marked platform update?

Because the rule can move. Evergreen lessons are about habits. Platform lessons need the date at the top. If the date is old, check the dashboard before you repeat a number.
