Affiliate, Partner, and who gets monetization tools

Twitch has been opening bits, subs, and channel tools to more people than the old Affiliate gate. Affiliate and Partner are still status. They are not the only sentence in the story.

Read your dashboard, not a 2022 checklist

For years, creators memorized one path: hit Affiliate, then aim at Partner. Twitch has also tested and expanded access to monetization and community tools for eligible channels that are not in that old box. Your Creator Dashboard is the list that applies to you today.

Do not tell your community you "cannot make money until Affiliate" unless the dashboard still says that for your channel. And do not treat a new tool as a personality. Status, payout, and emotes can be separate switches.

  • Open monetization settings and write down what is actually offered.
  • Keep the classic Affiliate path as a goal if you want the badge and the older perks.
  • Set up a simple welcome, a schedule, and a clip habit either way.
  • Recheck this page’s date before you repeat a requirement in a panel.
