Reach people in other languages

Start with captions, then voice

Burned-in captions in the original language already help travelers, commuters, and people who are not native speakers. A translated caption or a dub is the next step when a topic is not tied to a local joke.

Auto dub and lip-sync tools exist on more than one platform now, and the language list changes. Watch a minute of the result before you publish it. A wrong noun in a tutorial is worse than no translation. Cultural jokes often should stay in one language on purpose.

Frequently asked questions

Should I make a separate account per language?

Only when you can actually show up in that language. One channel with honest captions is better than three abandoned ones.
